Where does Sweaney Custom Homes build?
Sweaney Custom Homes designs and builds custom homes throughout Bakersfield and California’s Central Valley, as well as select communities along the Central Coast, including San Luis Obispo, Pismo Beach and Paso Robles. We may also consider exceptional projects in other locations by appointment.
Does Sweaney Custom Homes build on privately owned land?
Yes. We build on privately owned homesites, acreage and agricultural properties throughout the areas we serve. Our integrated design-build process can begin with early site evaluation to help identify opportunities, constraints and important considerations before design begins.
Do you build in communities where there is an approved builder list?
Yes. SCH builds in select master-planned and custom-home communities, including communities where builders must meet specific approval requirements. In Bakersfield, Sweaney Custom Homes is an approved custom builder in Highgate Estates at Seven Oaks and Sterling at Belcourt Seven Oaks.
Will Sweaney Custom Homes consider projects outside Bakersfield and the Central Coast?
Yes, selectively. While Bakersfield, the Central Valley and Central Coast are our primary markets, we may consider exceptional custom home opportunities in other locations when the project, property and scope are a good fit for our design-build approach.
Can you help evaluate a property before I purchase it?
Yes. Involving SCH early can help you better understand a prospective homesite before committing to a purchase. Depending on the property, we can help evaluate considerations such as site planning, access, utilities, grading, orientation and how the property may support your overall vision.
