Ravenna | Old World Model Home | Grand Islands at Seven Oaks, Bakersfield

Ravenna was Sweaney Custom Homes’ first Old World model home in Grand Islands at Seven Oaks, introducing a European-inspired architectural direction that would influence a number of SCH homes that followed.

Designed and built by Sweaney Custom Homes, Ravenna combined Old World character with a floor plan created for comfortable everyday living and entertaining. Arched openings, warm materials, detailed millwork, rich finishes, and traditionally inspired architectural elements established a sense of craftsmanship and permanence throughout the home.

More than a model home, Ravenna became a foundation for future SCH designs. Elements of its plan would later be reinterpreted for individual clients, including custom residences with different architectural elevations and homesite conditions.

Located within Grand Islands at Seven Oaks in Bakersfield, Ravenna represents an important chapter in SCH’s longstanding history in Seven Oaks—and an early expression of the design, craftsmanship, and builder-led approach that continues to define the company today.
